Scratches:
Please indicate athletes you wish to scratch whom otherwise would be in the meet. One of the biggest problems, from a meet management perspective, is the adding and dropping of athletes on the day of the meet. With potential athletes in the database we can go a long way toward avoiding problems in this area. If you are certain an athlete will not make it to the meet, please scratch them on or before the April 29th date.Entry Dates: Dates for entering your athletes into the Gold Rush Elite Invitational are as follows. The first entry date is April 8th through April 29th. Entries will be made at www.athletic.net .
Lists: I am hoping to get a list of the top entries as of April, 23rd, posted on the website so that you can see where your athletes stand. A final list of entrants in each event will be made on Monday morning, April 30th. This final list and the amount of your team's entry fee will be posted on the website.
Field Events:
All field events will be run in two flights, (excluding the Pole Vault and High Jump), with all athletes getting three attempts. After these initial three attempts the top nine (9) athletes will be determined and these athletes will get three more attempts. Marks will be carried over and will be a part of final placing in the event.Track Events: Lane events will have three heats of six (6) runners with each race being treated as a final. The heats will be seeded so that the six fastest entries are in the same heat. Final placing for each event will be based on the times combined from all three heats.
Scoring:
The top eight (8) places will score in each event with the following point set up of: 10-8-6-4-3-2-1.Awards: The top five (5) placers in each varsity individual event will receive custom medals, and top three (3) relay teams will receive medals. These medals will be picked up at a table behind the press box after the posting of results. The first place team in each division will receive a trophy.
We are pleased to announce that this year we will again have an Athlete of the Meet award for the following categories in the varsity division; Female Field; Female Track; Male Field; and Male Track. These athletes will receive a Venue Sports Performance Warm-Up Suit donated by Venue Sports.
