Hello fellow staff, parents and students.  On May 6, 2012 we are sending two teams of five students each to Torrance, California where they will be competing in an engine rebuilding competition hosted by Edelbrock.  The two teams are made up of CHS seniors, juniors, and sophomores.  Team one consists of, Coleman Kassik, Eric Davis, Justin Rapetti, Robert Prater, Travis Wharregard, and as an alternate, Andrew Nelson. Team two, Benton Frye, Cameron Miles, Chase Villanueva, Vincent Jachetta, and Randy Kilgore as an alternate.  The winner of the Torrance competition advances to the national competition held at the Sema Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada in October of 2012. Please help support our own local students at the upcoming fund raising events held at the Yogurt Factory in Valley Springs on March 8 from 5pm until 8pm and a car wash also in Valley Springs on March 25th.

Art Spirit…….     Annual High School Art Show.    Sponsored by Calaveras Arts Council will begin March  10th, with a reception-opening from 1-3p.m.   The reception, and show is located downtown San Andreas on Main Street.    Come see all the talent of our High School students.   There will be a wide variety of Art created in many media.   Show runs from March 10th – April 26th

No phone calls accepted for any attendance clearance!  This needs to be done in writing for auditing purposes.


Notes need to be written and given to appropriate grade secretary  in the morning for off campus passes.


No messages (parents calling) given to students after lunch unless it is an emergency.

FFA Boosters Dinner

"A NIGHT AT THE RACES"

sponsored by the Calaveras FFA Boosters

 
A Night at the Races promises to be a fun filled evening.  Come bet on pre-recorded horse races with funny money that you will receive at the door. You will watch clips of the horses, place your bets and then watch them race as you cheer them on. There are 6 races for you to bet on.  Winners will receive prize money (funny money) which will be used at the end of the night in a live auction to purchase lots of great prizes.

Spaghetti dinner will be served.

Silent auction items available as well.

 
Kentucky derby style hat contest.....

Decorate a hat and wear it to the races to win prize money (funny money)....prizes awarded in various categories....biggest, prettiest, funniest, etc.
When:   March 10, 2012
            5:00 p.m. doors open
            5:30 dinner
            6:00 races begin
Where:  San Andreas Town Hall
$25.00 per person or 180.00 for a table of 8
