FFA Information

Hello! Greetings from the 2012-2013 Calaveras FFA officer team. For those unfamiliar with FFA it stands for Future Farmers of America and strives towards Premier Leadership, Personal Growth and Career Success. It is the number on youth organization in the country and serves over 540,339 members around the nation. This year our chapter theme is “Plowing Up Potential; Just Dig it!” With this theme we hope to drive each and every one of our members to reach their full potential. We have several goals for our chapter this year including increasing our chapter participation at sectional, regional and state events and conferences and increasing our chapters financial standing. We hope our goals and these will help make this year a successful one. We would like to invite all parents of FFA members to attend our FFA boosters meetings which occur the third Monday of every month at 6:30 pm in Mr. Weatherby's room. Our first FFA meeting is August 20, 2012 in Brown Gym at 7pm. Students are encouraged to attend to learn more about our FFA chapter. Parents are welcome at all meetings. If you have any questions please contact the agriculture teachers.
