| The WALK-A-THON has been the main fundraiser for
parent club. This money is used to improve our
school. In the past, parent club purchased new tables
for our quad area. Parent Club also hosted a super
end-of-the-year party for our 8th grade promoting
students. Parent Club continually works to improve
the quality of your child's experience at Toyon. |

WAYS
TO STAY INVOLVED
ATTENTION PARENTS:
You're
invited to participate in our Parent Staff Club.
This group is instrumental in providing additional
programs for students including the 8th grade
End-of-the-Year Trip, and other extra curricular
activities. They also sponsor fund raising
promotions that help finance school events. New
Officers are elected each fall and serve for the
year. We encourage parents to participate and stay
involved in your Child's school!
SCHOOL
SITE COUNCIL The
TMS School Site Council meets once per quarter to discuss
the school site budget
and make important decisions regarding Toyon Middle
School. All parents are welcome to
attend.
BECOME
A MENTOR Parents who
are willing to commit to a couple of hours one day per week on a regular and
consistent basis are encouraged to volunteer to be study buddies/tutors for students who might
otherwise fall through the cracks. Any
parent who feels they would like to commit to helping out with one, two or a
handful of students please call the Calaveras County Office of Education at
736-4662

Social Security #. Create nicknames that
do not reflect your own name or anything
personal, never respond to online communication

with someone you met online, always talk with
your parents or a responsible adult about your
online activities. |
| Intellectual Property

movies, photos, or other intellectual property
without the permission of the creator. Use
only legitimate sites (those that request
payment) when downloading music, games, movies,
photos or other intellectual property. |
| Inappropriate

adult or parent if you come across inappropriate
content. Know how to use the back button
