STUDENTS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO ATTEND
SPORTING EVENTS AT TOYON
WITHOUT A PARENT
ATTENDANCE:
Regular attendance will be rewarded. Parents are
required to notify the school by phone or by note within
3 days of the absence. After 3 days, the
unverified absence will become unexcused. Excused
absences include personal illness or injury, medical
appointments, death of a family member, court appearances,
and observance of a religious holiday. All other
reasons for absences are unexcused. NOTE:
Absences for reasons of family vacation are considered
unexcused. Saturday school will be offered as make
up for students with any absences. Saturday school
will be required as make up for students with unexcused
absences. Failure to provide verification of excused
absences (illness, doctor/dentist appointments, etc.) will
result in an unexcused absence after
3 days. One day of Saturday School will be
required for each day of unexcused absence. Absences
exceeding 10% of the instructional time in a particular
grade period for any reason
may be grounds for failure. Saturday school
attendance is considered make up for any
type of absence.
WALK-A-THON:
The second annual Walk-A-Thon was a joint effort
of the TMS Parent Club and Student Council and was held during school on October 23rd.
It was a huge success. Over $5,000 was raised to
help support activities and programs.
Late
Bus Passes must be purchased at break in the office.
Passes are $1 per day.

There
will be a mandatory meeting on Thursday February 4th at
morning break for Volleyball tryouts. 7th grade meet Mrs.
Dustyn in the Gym, and 8th Grade meet Mrs. Renberg in W7.

Grade: Tuesday February 16th, Wednesday February 17th, and
Friday February 19th.
8th
Grade: Wednesday February 17th, Thursday February 18th,
and Friday February 19th.
